We just finished the annual Alliance Summit gathering of pastors and ministry leaders this past weekend. What a monumental encounter with the Lord. It was not just a wonderful time in His presence or business as usual. It was a life-changing encounter where He spoke to us regarding the next decade for the Body of Christ. Also, He birthed EPIC into the international realm in just one weekend. We now have a relationship with a brother in India, who became ordained into relationship with EPIC and its United Christian Leaders Alliance. We will be putting together a mission trip team to go to India in the not too distant future. Brother Samson is a Bishop with over 2000 church and over 1800 pastors in his care. We are excited about partnering with him to help see the Kingdom of God established in greater measure in India. Praise the Lord! We also had a missionary from the Philippines to attend and have begun the establishment of relationship with him and the work God is doing in that country as well. We had Brazil represented and will be working with a couple here in the Houston area that has been sent out of a church in Brazil to plant a church here. We ordained 10 and licensed 2 into the work of the ministry at this year’s gathering. What a power time in Him. He has given us directives for the next decade. Of course, these never vary from what He has already given us in His Word. The four seasons of this next decade are consecration, separation, reclamation, and restoration.

If you want to see restoration you must be willing to go through the other 3 seasons that precede it. For those who are willing, the reward will be exceeding, abundantly beyond all that you can ask or imagine! Are you ready?

At the beginning of December, we had the great honor of being invited to minister at the Tim La Haye Ministries Pre-Trib Conference in Dallas, Texas. Jerry was asked to come and do the music. At the end of the meeting time the first night that we were there, a lady came up to the table where we had been seated and said to me “your husband led me and my entire family, all 7 of us, to Christ back in the 80′s”. We were of course, overjoyed and humbled to meet and visit with them. Thank You, Lord, for allowing us to meet them again.

Later that evening in our hotel room I began to reflect on this meeting and became increasingly aware that it all began with a couple very dear to us, Alan and Cherryl Smith, who were the ones responsible for inviting Jerry to Houston so many times back in the 80′s. Not only did Jerry have the extreme honor of being used of the Lord to lead this family to Himself, but also, Alan and Cherryl, were vital in this process.

The Smith family remains a vital part of this ministry today and continue to help send us. Let us encourage you today, you may not be the one who actually leads someone to the Lord directly, but you may be the reason that someone can be sent to others. Either way, it brings about fruit and fruit that remains.

1 Cor 3:7-8 “So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. 8 Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.” NKJV

Christmas. It really is as the song says “the most wonderful time of the year”. Of course, the reason is because it is the time of the year that we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus. The greatest gift of all. Although the time line may not be “historically accurate”, the reason we celebrate is the focus, His name is Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins.

Whatever you find yourself busy about this season, we pray that you will find the peace within that comes only from knowing the Savior of the World, Jesus Christ, and that the joy of that good news will make your holidays truly happy!

Merry Christmas! Jerry and Donna

It is easy to go to the book of Hebrews and in Chapter 11 see a list of the heroes of the faith and gain encouragement. However, we recently had an opportunity to be with some present day “heroes of the faith” and it was extremely inspiring. At the beginning of this month we were honored to be invited to be a part of the ministry team for the Tim La Haye Ministries Pre-Trib Conference. We were further honored by being seated beside Dr. and Mrs. La Haye at the banquet table that evening. As we visited with them, I was overwhelmed by the faithfulness of this couple. They are in their 80′s now and still going strong for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and proclaiming His return. Truly, this is how I want to live my life. To be constantly about our Father’s business, which is to go into all the world and preach the Gospel and make disciples. I want my life to count for the Glory of God. I want to spur others on to being a witness for Christ.
Thank you, Dr. Tim and Mrs. Beverly, for the heroic lives you are leading for the cause of Christ and continuing to proclaim His coming and His return. You are my heroes! Donna
